Mater Salvatoris College Prep School -a Prek-3 through Grade 12 project-, opened in 2018, beginning with the lower grades, with the purpose to expand by one grade level each year up to Grade 12.
With great joy, we entered an agreement with the Diocese of Bridgeport to purchase our Permanent Campus, the former Trinity Catholic High School building, and to expand enrollment and grades each year. We are deeply grateful to the Diocese and the ongoing support of Bishop Frank Caggiano to make this possible.
With 20 acres of property and more than 125,000 square feet of building space, the site of the former Trinity Catholic High School meets all the needs to develop the Mater Salvatoris project — including classrooms and labs, a chapel, sports fields gymnasium and playgrounds, and an auditorium. In this way, the mission for which the campus was designed and built — to provide a faithful Catholic education — will continue.
Driven by the need to serve the whole family, we partner with Priests from the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary to offer single-sex education on one campus under the motto “Two Schools, One Family.” Boys and girls develop differently; in order to meet their individual needs, starting in First Grade, we offer a model of single-sex classrooms in a coed campus -Mater Salvatoris educates girls while Stella Maris educates boys, under the direction of the Disciples-. Together, we share one campus and one mission: authentic, rigorous, and well-rounded Catholic education.
We continue this project with passion and deep enthusiasm, supported by our over 60 years of experience in educational excellence in Europe, North America, South America and Africa, offering a faithful Catholic education, student-centered learning environment, strong academic formation and experiential and active education.
To reach this goal, we educate the mind, we educate the heart, we educate the spirit.
Accomplishing our objective of providing a well-rounded education of the whole person begins in the early years. The early ages are THE time to establish a solid foundation for learning and to plant the seeds for further development of students’ various capacities of mind, heart, and spirit. Mater Salvatoris Schools accompany each of our students in the different stages of their education, from their early years through admission to college, seeking to nurture in every student the entire development of her personality: individual, social, and transcendental.
Acknowledging that parents are the first and foremost educators of their children, and that the family is the primary but not exclusive educating community, Mater Salvatoris School promotes an educational covenant between families and the school, to collaborate with the parents’ exciting mission of educating their children to become the great saints God is calling them to be.
I encourage you to explore our website, read about who we are and the mission of our schools, schedule a meeting to visit us, and learn more about our school in Stamford.
We ask you for your prayers for this new mission that Our Lord is entrusting to us through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, Mother of the Savior.
May God bless you and your families,
Sr. María Alguacil, C.S.
