It鈥檚 been a month since the start of classes and the School is bursting with energy at every single corner. Students and faculty have arrived with renewed thrill to face the new year filled with adventures. Our girls are ready to endure any challenge arisen, especially those in 2nd year of Baccalaureate, who end School this year. One more year, we are going to make the best of our students to reach very high.
100% of students passed their Selectividad exams! Mater Salvatoris is celebrating, as 132 final year students have been given the good news that they have passed Selectividad. The School congratulates all the girls for their efforts and dedication to their studies during this, their last year with us.
On 23 February, Mater Salvatoris celebrated the Jubilee of Mercy. Students and staff made a pilgrimage from the School to the Church of St聽Mary聽of聽Can谩 in Pozuelo to step through the Holy Door and gain the Jubilee Indulgence on the occasion of the Jubilee Year of Mercy called by Pope Francis. 1,200 Mater uniforms walking together in a happy and prayerful setting.
Also last February, the 55th graduating class of final year students enjoyed the traditional End of Year School Trip to Italy. It was a unique cultural and spiritual experience thanks to visits to Milan, Rome, Verona, Venice, Padua, Siena, San Gimignano and Assisi, with all students in the year and their teachers present, making this the perfect finale to their Mater Salvatoris journey.
On 17 March, we celebrated the School鈥檚 titular feast day, the Incarnation of Christ. Pre-School students transported us to the American Wild West. Primary School students participated in the traditional Mater Salvatoris Competition, dedicated to the Virgin Mary in different ways. And our older students entertained us with the first ever Mater Talent Show Fiesta.
